You'll find the largest natural, living sand dune on the
East Coast in this 400 acre park. On a windy day, you can actually see the
movement of this 140' dune in a southwesterly direction. The climb to the
top is a challenge, but the chance of seeing the many hang-gliders and kites
makes it worthwhile. For a closer view of nature, walk the park's 1.5 mile
trail which is open year-round or sit in on a park ranger's natural history
program during the summer.
A visitor center and picnic facilities are on the site.
